So a few days ago I bought some new Lush goodies for my hair because my Suave soap, which was supposed to be leaving my hair soft and manageable, was instead leaving my hair dry and a little more frizzy than I’d like. So I picked up two things, Fairly Traded Honey shampoo and American Cream conditioner.
The first, as you can imagine, has honey in it. But it’s ALOT of honey, the soap itself has a slightly thick, honey-like feel to it. The lady who showed it to me and every review I’ve read say they love the smell, but I must say I really really dislike it, it even seemed a little stinky to me. BUT that might be because I don’t actually like the smell of honey (or the taste for that matter) and mixing it with a lot of herbs just made it worse for me. But I must say it’s worked well so far, it was easy to wash out, left my scalp feeling clean and my hair didn’t feel to dry after like with most shampoos.
The American Cream conditioner feels like most conditioners, soft and thick. But I did absolutely adore the smell (according to the bottle it’s vanilla and clary sage, heavenly), and it got ride of the smell of the shampoo completely, which I was very happy about. It does feel like it left the slightest bit of residue in my hair, but maybe it’s because I was rushing my shower a little. It did leave my hair soft though, as it’s drying right now my hair isn’t getting all stringy and dry like it usually does after showers. So I’m really hoping for the best from these two.
I have been using the blue Fun bar from Lush for about two months now (I make them last haha). I think it’s the one with lavender in it. I was a little disappointed because it did day my skin would be softer but so far no juice. I do have pretty picky/sensitive skin though, so that might be why. It does smell wonderful, and is very fun to use. I think it’d be better for me to use in bubble baths, but sadly I can’t do that where I love. Next time I go to Lush though, I guess it’ll be time for a new body soap, I’m pretty sure they have things for people like me with unnecessarily sensitive skin.

I was just writing all this out because I felt like writing down my thoughts, and I don’t guarantee that if you use these products you’ll get the same result as me. I suggest asking the sales associates there, they’re always happy to help and very knowledgeable about all the products. And if you don’t like one thing they won’t try to force it on you, they’re always happy to suggest something else, plus they don’t mind giving small samples of products to try out if you’re not 100% that you’re ready to buy.

"Once upon a time in a far away land, a young prince lived in a shining castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the Prince was spoilt, selfish and unkind. But then, one winter’s night, an old beggar woman came to the castle and offered him a single rose in return for shelter from the bitter cold. Repulsed by her haggard appearance, the Prince sneered at the gift and turned the old woman away. But she warned him not to be deceived by appearances, for beauty is found within. And when he dismissed her again, the old woman’s ugliness melted away to reveal a beautiful enchantress. The Prince tried to apologise but it was too late, for she had seen that there was no love in his heart. As punishment she transformed him into a hideous beast and placed a powerful spell over the castle and all who lived there."
